CAIR to Co-Sponsor Mother’s Day Rallies in DC, Nationwide to Call for End to Immigrant Family Separation, Child Detention

Sister rallies scheduled in Texas, Florida, New York, Maine, Colorado, Vermont, New Hampshire, Washington, California, Connecticut, Minnesota, and Alaska

(WASHINGTON, D.C., 5/6/19) – On Mother’s Day, May 12, the Council on American-Islamic relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights organization, will join the Alliance for Family Reunification, Immigrant Justice Now, Military Families for Families, and MamásConPoder/MomsRising, along with their coalition partners* will hold a #MotherofExiles rally on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., to call for an end to immigrant family separation and child detention.
