(BALTIMORE, MD, 2/28/19) – On Friday, March 1, the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) will join the Maryland State Conference of the NAACP and coalition allies at a news conference in Annapolis to publicly call on a democratic state lawmaker from Harford County to resign for her use of a racial slur targeting African-Americans.
[NOTE: The news conference will be held even if a pending vote in the state legislature to censure Lisanti passes.]
Del. Mary Ann Lisanti (D-Harford) told a colleague late last month at an Annapolis cigar bar that campaigning in Prince George’s County on behalf of another candidate amounted to door-knocking in a “n***** district.”
