(WASHINGTON, D.C., 8/20/19) – The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) today released the latest “CAIR Snapshots” video highlighting a quarter century of “defending, educating and empowering the American Muslim community.” #CAIRSnapshots
Today’s snapshot features how in 1997, CAIR challenged the religious and racial profiling of Muslim airline passengers. CAIR National Executive Director Nihad Awad joined the Civil Rights Advisory Panel to the White House Commission on Aviation Safety and Security to help safeguard the civil rights of all travelers.
