#CAIRSnapshots Video: In 2006, CAIR Launches ‘Explore the Life of Muhammad’ Campaign, Distributes Some 20,000 Copies of Resources About the Prophet (PBUH)

(WASHINGTON, D.C., 10/9/19) – The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) today released the latest “CAIR Snapshots” video highlighting a quarter century of “defending, educating and empowering the American Muslim community.”

Today’s snapshot features how in 2006, CAIR launched a major educational effort called “Explore the Life of Muhammad” as a positive response to the worldwide controversy over offensive caricatures of Islam’s Prophet Muhammad.

BACKGROUNDER – Muhammad: Legacy of a Prophet (DVD)

The #CAIRSnapshots campaign is just one of many activities and initiatives leading up to CAIR’s 25th anniversary gala in Washington, D.C., on November 9. DEADLINES APPROACHING: Fifty tickets are available (until Oct. 11) for registered college students for $50 each. (Student ID and email address required.)

Oct. 11 is also the deadline for Muslim, interfaith and civil rights businesses and organizations in the Washington, D.C., Virginia and Maryland area (and nationwide) to sponsor a table or place an advertisement in the program book.

Online registration is open for the gala with a keynote address by special guest Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN). Past events have been sold out, no tickets are sold at the door — so register TODAY to reserve your place.

REGISTRATION: Individual tickets cost $85. Childcare is $35 per child. Childcare registration is required for children under 13 years old. No children under 13 are allowed inside the banquet hall.
