#CAIRSnapshots Video: In 2015, CAIR Welcomed Supreme Court Ruling in Favor of a Muslim Woman Who Sued Abercrombie & Fitch Over Hijab, Coordinated First Muslim Advocacy Day in D.C.

(WASHINGTON, D.C., 10/31/19) – The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) today released the latest “CAIR Snapshots” video highlighting a quarter century of “defending, educating and empowering the American Muslim community.”

Today’s snapshot features how in 2015, CAIR welcomed a U.S. Supreme Court ruling in favor of a Muslim woman who sued Abercrombie & Fitch over the right to wear hijab in the workplace, and coordinated the first Muslim Advocacy Day in Washington, D.C.

The #CAIRSnapshots campaign is just one of many activities and initiatives leading up to CAIR’s 25th anniversary gala in Washington, D.C., on November 9. 

Online registration is open for the gala with special guest Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN), political commentator Dean Obeidallah, activist and community leader Linda Sarsour, State Representative Movita Johnson-Harrell (D-PA), and motivational speaker Abderraoof Alkhawaldeh.

REGISTRATION: Individual tickets cost $85 (Student $65). Childcare is $35 per child. Childcare registration is required for children under 13 years old. No children under 13 are allowed inside the banquet hall.
