(WASHINGTON, D.C., 11/7/19) – The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) today released the latest “CAIR Snapshots” video highlighting a quarter century of “defending, educating and empowering the American Muslim community.”
[NOTE: Use #CAIRSnapshots on Twitter to view all the short videos highlighting CAIR’s important work over the past quarter century.]
Today’s snapshot highlights how in 2018, CAIR announced a federal judge’s approval of an agreement between CAIR and Alaska’s attorney general that required Muslim inmates observing Ramadan be provided with adequate nutrition. Also in 2018, some 30 CAIR leaders attended the inauguration of the National Memorial for Peace and Justice in Montgomery, Ala., and CAIR challenged the Trump’s administration’s policy of separating migrant families at the border.
