Community Leaders, Activists Asked to Share QR Code for Election Survey of American Muslims

(WASHINGTON, D.C., 5/25/22) – The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, is urging leaders and activists in the Muslim community to share its nationwide 2022 midterm election survey of American Muslims by posting QR codes to the survey at their local mosque.

The purpose of the survey is to better understand the American Muslim community’s readiness for the 2022 midterm election and its political preferences and views and attitudes on widely-discussed policy issues.

The survey consists of 30 multiple-choice questions. All responses will be anonymous.

CAIR is also encouraging American Muslims to fill out the survey and to share it with their peers, Muslim organizations, Muslim student groups, and other Islamic institutions.

“As the American Muslim community has already begun to turn out to the polls to vote in midterm primary elections, it is important that our community’s voice is being heard by candidates, elected officials and the nation at large. Based on the results of the survey, candidates running for office will know what issues matter most to our community,” said CAIR Director of Government Affairs Department Robert S. McCaw.

La misión de CAIR es proteger las libertades civiles, mejorar la comprensión del Islam, promover la justicia, y empoderar a los musulmanes en los Estados Unidos.
