(WASHINGTON, D.C., 8/23/18) – On Saturday, August 25, members of the Rohingya-American community and their supporters will hold a rally at the US Capitol — near the Peace Circle and Capital Reflecting Pool — in Washington, D.C., to mark the one-year anniversary of the Burmese military’s ongoing genocide of Rohingya Muslims and the Rohingya’s mass exodus to neighboring countries.

Rally sponsors include the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), Dar Al-Hijrah Islamic Center, Muslim Association of Virginia, Mustafa Center, Faith Coalition to Stop Genocide in Burma, International Campaign for the Rohingya, Burma Task Force, and Dar-usSalaam. There will be an interfaith prayer for the victims of genocide.
