Journalist Laila Al-Arian to Receive CAIR ‘Excellence in Media’ Award

Only a few days left to reserve your tickets for CAIR’s annual banquet in Arlington, Va.

There are only a few tickets left for CAIR’s 24th annual banquet, with the theme “Faith Led, Justice Driven,” at the Crystal Gateway Marriott in Arlington, Va., on the evening of Saturday, Oct. 20.

At the banquet, Laila Al-Arian will receive CAIR’s 2018 “Excellence in Media” award. Al-Arian is senior producer and investigative journalist for the award-winning Al Jazeera documentary current affairs series “Fault Lines.” She was part of a team of journalists who recently received a news and documentary Emmy award for “The Ban,” which examined the human cost of Trump’s Muslim Ban. Al-Arian is also coauthor of “Collateral Damage: America’s War Against Iraqi Civilians.”
