(Orlando, FL, 11/14/2018) — The Florida chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, the State’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today is announcing the ‘ICNA Relief Free Community Health Fair and Food Drive’ at the Islamic Society of Brevard County.
This event will take place on November 17, from 10:00am to 2:00pm, at the Islamic Society of Brevard County. CAIR-Florida Chief Executive Director, Hassan Shibly, is scheduled to speak at the event and will be personally sharing CAIR-Florida’s availability of civil rights and immigration legal services to the community. The health fair and food drive will have the participation of national relief organizations and multiple first responder agencies. This is a free services event open to the general public and to media coverage.
Wilfredo Amr Ruiz, CAIR-Florida Communications Director, stated, “The ICNA Relief Free Community Health Fair and Food Drive is the kind of event where the Muslim community is awarded an opportunity to serve others; to serve their community as Islam mandates. Faith in practice.”
The food drive and health clinic is made possible by the following organizations: ICNA Relief, “OneBlood: Share Your Power” (blood drive), CAIR-Florida, the County Sheriff’s Office, Palm Bay Police Department, and the Melbourne Police Department. The first responders will be providing useful information and exhibiting their equipment.
