(WASHINGTON, D.C., 3/3/2023) – The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today urged community members to sign up for a free screening of Just Vision’s new documentary “Boycott,” which examines the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement against the Israeli government and anti-BDS legislation in the United States. The first 50 people to sign up to see the film will be able to stream the film for free.

“Boycott” follows the stories of several individuals challenging anti-BDS laws including CAIR’s client Bahia Amawi, on whose behalf CAIR won a landmark legal victory in 2019.
The film traces the impact of state legislation passed in 34 states designed to penalize individuals and companies that choose to boycott Israel due to its human rights record. A legal thriller with “accidental plaintiffs” at the center of the story, “Boycott” is a bracing look at the far-reaching implications of anti-boycott legislation and an inspiring tale of everyday Americans standing up to protect our rights in an age of shifting politics and threats to freedom of speech.
CAIR’s mission is to protect civil rights, enhance understanding of Islam, promote justice, and empower American Muslims.
La misión de CAIR es proteger las libertades civiles, mejorar la comprensión del Islam, promover la justicia, y empoderar a los musulmanes en los Estados Unidos.
