(BALTIMORE, MD, 6/14/20) – Later today, the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) will join organizations of different faiths in an ‘Interfaith Prayer Journey Miles to Minneapolis’ being hosted by the Seventh-day Adventist Church’s North American Division Headquarters in Howard County, Maryland. It is the first in a series of events scheduled to take place in seven different cities including Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Columbus, Detroit, Chicago, and finally Minneapolis.

Featured speakers include Howard County Executive Calvin Ball, CAIR’s Director in Maryland Zainab Chaudry, Rev. Leslye Dwight of the Union Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church, Orlan Johnson, Director of Public Affairs and Religious Liberty at the Seventh-day Adventist Church, and other leaders from the interfaith community who will speak on the aftermath of George Floyd’s death and where we go from here.
