(PORTLAND, OR 1/24/2020) â€“ This evening, the Oregon chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations will hold its inaugural banquet, themed “Faith driven, Justice led,” at the Hyatt Regency in Portland. Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) will be the keynote speaker.
CAIR-Oregon’s banquet is one of the largest gatherings of American Muslims and people of all faiths in the state. Community members come to celebrate their participation in democracy, to hear from local leaders and to celebrate the accomplishments of Americaâ€™s largest Muslim civil liberties and advocacy organization.
