CAIR co-sponsored a congressional briefing on the implications of India’s Citizenship Law. Indian panelists shared their firsthand account of state repression and police brutalities, which have killed more than 30 protesters and incarcerated thousands, including minors. The briefing also discussed the executive and legislative actions for U.S. government and Congress to ensure that India repeals the discriminatory law.
