(WASHINGTON, D.C., 12/22/2017) — The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today announced that it will offer a series of free legal clinics during the upcoming MAS-ICNA convention in Chicago, Ill.
CAIR’s legal clinics will be offered December 28-30 from noon to 3 p.m. at its booth in the convention bazaar (#C19) and be led by CAIR Senior Litigation Attorney Gadeir Abbas. Abbas will answer questions about the Trump administration’s “Muslim ban,” discrimination in the workplace or in schools, bullying of Muslim students, and other topics of concern to the American Muslim community. [NOTE: Abbas is licensed in Virginia, not in the District of Columbia. His practice is limited to federal matters.]
