SC: Islamic Scholar to Discuss Sexual Ethics



CLEMSON - Islamic law scholar Kecia Ali will speak about sexual ethics and
Islam Thursday at 7 p.m. at Clemson University's Strom Thurmond Institute
as part of the Women and the Sacred Lecture Series.

The lecture is free and open to the public. Ms. Ali works as a Mellon
post-doctoral fellow in Islamic studies and women's studies at Brandeis
University. She received her doctorate in religion from Duke University and
is working on a collection of essays about sexual ethics in Islamic
scripture, tradition and law
