Why are 10 and 440 so important?

As-salaamu alaykum (peace to you).

Ten and 440 are important numbers. We are now in the last 10 days of Ramadan, a period in which blessings are multiplied many times, and CAIR needs to raise $440,000 in this period to meet our Ramadan fundraising goal to help the people who call on CAIR on a daily basis.

Why not gain additional blessings for yourself and your family these last days of Ramadan by sending your zakat or sadaqah to CAIR, the nation’s leading Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization? Contributions to CAIR are both zakat-eligible and tax-deductible.

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "Whoever does a voluntary good deed during this month [Ramadan], it is as if that person performed an obligatory good deed at another time, and whoever performs an obligatory good deed, it is as if that person performed 70 obligatory good deeds at another time."

Another hadith states: "(The Prophet, peace be upon him) would strive (to do acts of worship) during the last ten days of Ramadan more than he would at any other time."

CAIR has been educating our fellow Americans about Islam for almost 20 years and we need your support tocontinue and expand this important work.
Thousands of people count on CAIR for our legal and civil rights services, which we offer free of charge. Can we count on you to ensure that we’ll have the resources to helpeveryone who calls us? Our Ramadan fundraising goal is$780,000.

Every donation counts, no matter how small. Please don’t hesitate to take advantage of the last few days of this holy month to multiply your rewards by helping CAIR help others.

Consider giving $25, $50, $100, $250, $500, $1,000, $2,500, $5,000, or whatever you can. We appreciate any contribution you give.

Thank you for your support and may Allah bless and protect you and your family.
