CAIR-MI Rep Addresses Homeland Security Students

CAIR-MI REP ADDRESSES HOMELAND SECURITY STUDENTS AT UNIVERSITY

(LATHRUP VILLAGE, MI, 9/27/06) – A representative of the Michigan chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-MI) today addressed students and faculty at Madonna University in Livonia, Mich., in a class called “Homeland Security & Terrorism.” CAIR-MI Executive Director Dawud Walid lectured and answered questions for 90 minutes about basic beliefs and practices of Muslims, demographics of the Muslim community in America and Islam’s position on political violence and extremism.
