(ORLANDO, FL, 4/13/2022) – The Florida chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-Florida), the state’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today called for an administrative probe by the Florida’s Real Estate Commission and Florida Department of Professional and Business Regulations of Victor Dubauskas, a Florida licensed real estate agent arrested for a racially motivated assault and battery of a Muslim man in Orlando, Fla.
CAIR-Florida is also requesting the State Attorney for the Ninth Judicial Circuit, Monique H. Worrell to seek hate crime enhancement on the existing charges.
According to the Orange County arrest affidavit (See Report Here) Dubaskas stated” “I have issue with the Muslims sitting outside,” then poured beer before throwing the glass beer bottle in the direction of a Muslim coffee shop patron.
He then reportedly told a group of Muslim patrons sitting outside the shop that he was “going to return and kill all Muslims” where the assault and battery occurred. Dubaskas was arrested by the Orange County Sheriff and charged with assault and battery. The battery charge was later amended to add evidence of prejudice.
After learning that the arrestee Dubauskas is a Florida-licensed real estate agent, CAIR-FL will seek an ethics investigation and possible complaint against Dubauskas for his alleged racially-motivated conduct, which led to the arrest.

CAIR-Florida attorney Omar Saleh stated:
“There is frankly no room in Florida for the type of hatred allegedly being spread by a person like Dubauskas, who has reportedly been arrested before for a similar incident involving an African-American. I strongly believe that the Florida Real Estate Commission should not tolerate or accept licensees who exhibit such dangerous criminal conduct and will be seeking an ethics complaint.”
Attorney Saleh added: “Because Dubauskas criminal conduct was allegedly bias motivated, we also asking the Florida State Attorney to add a hate crime enhancement to the existing charges.”
CAIR-Florida is the State’s largest Muslim civil liberties and advocacy organization. Its mission is to enhance understanding of Islam, protect civil rights, promote justice, and empower American Muslims.
