(WASHINGTON, DC – 11/29/2023) – The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today called on President Biden to condemn the far-right Israeli government’s killing of two Palestinian children in the West Bank.
Those children, Adam Samer Al-Ghoul (8 years old) and Basil Suleiman Abu Al-Wafa (15 years old), were killed on Wednesday by Israeli forces in the occupied West Bank city of Jenin.

In a statement, CAIR National Executive Director Nihad Awad said:
“The killing of Palestinian children by Israel’s far-right apartheid government will continue until the decades-long dehumanization of the Palestinian people and the systematic denial of their rights by the Global North comes to an end. Our nation’s leaders must finally recognize that Palestinians are human beings who do have rights, including the right to life.
“President Biden should condemn the killing of Palestinian children in the same way that he rightly condemns violence targeting others.”
