(MINNEAPOLIS, MN, 12/11/23) – On Monday, Dec. 11, the Minnesota chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-Minnesota) is planning to join community members, parents, and students in Edina, Minnesota, for a peaceful demonstration and to protest at Edina School Board meeting.
The protest comes after Muslim students were suspended Oct. 26 after school administration falsely accused them of antisemitic rhetoric during a student walkout protest to call ceasefire to stop the ongoing genocide in Gaza.

CAIR-MN has been approached by the parents and students after the students were suspended. CAIR-MN has been working with the families impacted and helped some of the families file complaints with the U.S. Department of Education.
