On Mon, Jan 8th, the first day of the Arizona State Legislature, the Arizona chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-AZ) and a diverse group of interfaith Palestinian advocacy organizations plan to hold a press conference after the House decided to introduce a resolution supporting the Israeli government with zero regard to the Palestinians that are being slaughtered.

At the news conference, CAIR-AZ Executive Director Azza Abuseif will be available to answer questions and discuss the concerns of the students and parents.
The demands of these organizations include:
- Call for an immediate and permanent Ceasefire in Gaza and the release of all hostages
- Enable adequate humanitarian aid to enter Gaza
- Enable medical supplies to enter Gaza and to rebuild hospitals and clinics.
- Stop U.S. funding of Israel’s unaccountable military and of Israel’s apartheid policies against the Palestinians
- End the Arizona State government’s support to the Israel Defense Forces, including the purchasing of Israeli bonds
- End efforts to deny Arizona supporters of the Palestinians their rights to Freedom of Speech.
Other groups attending the Press Conference include: Arizona Palestine Solidarity Alliance, Jewish Voice for Peace, Common Defense, Arizona Palestine Network, Arizona Muslim Alliance and Students for Justice in Palestine.
