The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today called on President Biden to condemn Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and take action after he admitted to being opposed to the existence of a Palestinian state in any scenario.
In a speech, Prime Minister Netanyahu said, “in the future, Israel has to control the entire area, from the river to the sea.”

In a statement, CAIR Executive Director Nihad Awad said:
“The Israeli government has slapped the Biden administration across the face by openly admitting that it intends to disregard U.S. policy, flout international law, and maintain an apartheid system of governance from the river to the sea, with no independent, sovereign Palestinian state. Coupled with Netanyahu’s prior comments, those of other Israeli officials, and the genocidal devastation in Gaza, it is clear that the Israeli government’s long-term goal also includes the expulsion of the Palestinian people themselves.
“President Biden must immediately condemn Prime Minister Netanyahu, demand an immediate ceasefire, and end U.S. support for the Israeli government’s genocidal campaign against the Palestinian people.”
Awad noted that earlier today, CAIR condemned what it called the latest “Israeli war crimes of the day,” including a new call for ethnic cleansing of Gaza by a top Israeli government official, the demolition of a Gaza university, attacks near a Gaza hospital, video of Israeli troops mocking Palestinian suffering, and Israeli actions forcing women to give birth in the streets.
