CAIR Action Alert: Thank Members of Congress Who Have Supported a Ceasefire!

The Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) is urging all Americans to participate in its user-friendly click-and-send action alert to thank members of Congress who support a ceasefire in Gaza. Recent research by Jewish Voice for Peace Action and the Working Families Party reveals that at least 65 members of Congress have taken a public stance calling for a ceasefire or cessation of hostilities.

TAKE ACTION: CLICK HERE TO MESSAGE YOUR MEMBERS OF CONGRESS NOW!

CAIR notes that constituents with members of Congress who have not yet called for a ceasefire will also have the opportunity to send a message urging their U.S. Representatives and Senators to support an immediate ceasefire in Gaza

The crisis in Gaza has hit a devastating milestone, as more than 25,000 Gazans—primarily women and children—have been indiscriminately killed by Israel, employing weaponry supplied by the United States. CAIR acknowledges the gravity of the situation and emphasizes the urgent need for action to address this devastating loss of innocent lives.

MESSAGE BEING SENT TO CONGRESSIONAL OFFICES THAT SUPPORT A CEASEFIRE OR END TO HOSTILITIES:

I want to express my sincere gratitude for your public support in favor of a ceasefire or cessation of hostilities in Gaza. Your stance on this critical issue does not go unnoticed, and I appreciate your dedication to promoting peace. The crisis in Gaza has taken an alarming toll, with over 25,000 Gazans, predominantly women and children, tragically losing their lives. Your commitment to a peaceful resolution is crucial in addressing this humanitarian crisis. Thank you once again for your principled stance. Your ongoing support for peace is highly valued by constituents like me who support an immediate ceasefire.

Over the past several weeks, CAIR has condemned the killing of a Palestinian-American teen by the forces of the far-right Israeli government in the occupied West Bank.

CAIR also called on the Biden administration to condemn the far-right Israeli government’s targeted murder of journalists in Gaza. An investigation by the Committee to Protect Journalists reports at least 83 journalists and media workers were among the more than 25,000 people killed by Israel in Gaza since the war began.

CAIR also called on President Biden to condemn Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and take action after he admitted to being opposed to the existence of a Palestinian state in any scenario.
