Maryland Groups to Hold News Conference Urging Lawmakers to Support Ceasefire Resolution in General Assembly

On Friday, Jan. 26, at 10 a.m. ET,  the Islamic Maryland Action Network, comprised of the Maryland office of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA), Justice For All DC, United Maryland Muslim Council and more than two dozen mosques and community organizations, is planning to hold a news conference in Annapolis to urge state lawmakers to support and pass a ceasefire resolution that was introduced in the Maryland General Assembly this week by Delegate Gabriel Acevero and cosponsored by seven other lawmakers.

Maryland families from Gaza whose loved ones have been killed in the recent violence will attend and speak.

The Islamic Maryland Action Network (IMAN) is a recently formed statewide crisis response working group that represents over 350,000 Muslims in the state.
