In a statement, CAIR Deputy Executive Director Edward Ahmed Mitchell said:
“We commend Major Mann for resigning in opposition to the Biden administration’s ongoing financial and military support for the genocide in Gaza. Major Mann’s letter explaining his decision is a profoundly moving message that President Biden, members of Congress and every single American should read before our government enables the slaughter and starvation of more Palestinians in Gaza. We encourage other government officials who oppose the administration’s policy to make their voices heard.”
Mann’s resignation follows the resignations of Annelle Sheline and former Department of Education policy Adviser Tariq Habash.
