The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today encouraged American Muslims and people of all faiths and backgrounds to join protests and marches on June 8th to mark eight months of slaughter and starvation in Gaza and demand that President Biden enforce his red line on Rafah by ending U.S. support for the Israeli government’s genocide.
In a statement, CAIR said:
“This Saturday, June 8th, marks eight months since the start of the Israeli government’s genocide in Gaza. To mark this day and demand an end to U.S. support for the genocide, many Americans plan to hold peaceful protests this weekend.
“We encourage American Muslims – and Americans of all faiths and backgrounds – to join peaceful protests, marches and other demonstrations to deliver a clear message to President Biden and other elected officials: changed rhetoric is not enough. We need a complete and immediate change in policy.
“It is long past time for President Biden to enforce his own red line, suspend military aid to the Israeli government, and demand an end to the genocide.”
