Civic Engagement Intern (Cleveland Office)

Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning and organizing civic engagement events and initiatives.
  • Support voter registration and education campaigns.
  • Conduct outreach to community members and partner organizations.
  • Help develop and distribute educational materials on civic participation.
  • Monitor local and national policy developments affecting the community.
  • Collaborate with the team to promote advocacy efforts and community involvement.
  • Participate in community meetings and events to represent CAIR-Ohio.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Political Science, Public Administration, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Passion for civic engagement, social justice, and civil rights.
  • Knowledge of issues affecting the American Muslim community is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and social media platforms.
