The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today condemned the Israeli massacre of at least 21 people in a Christian village in northern Lebanon.
An Israeli airstrike hit an apartment building in the village of Aito in northern Lebanon on Monday, killing at least 21 people, according to the Lebanese Red Cross.

In a statement, CAIR Deputy Executive Director Edward Ahmed Mitchell said:
“Even Lebanese Christians are not safe from the Israeli government’s expanding war crimes.
We condemn the Israeli government’s horrific attack, as well as the Biden administration’s complicity in it, and express our condolences to any Americans who lost family members. Sadly, we do not expect Israel’s attack on Lebanese Christians to change American foreign policy because these Christians are Arabs and white supremacism trumps religious affinity.”
He noted that earlier today, CAIR called on President Biden and Vice President Harris to watch the video of children being burned alive in their tents in the aftermath of an Israeli attack on a Gaza hospital courtyard and take action to force a ceasefire.
