CAIR-NY, BAAG to Hold Muslim Legislative Advocacy Day in State Capitol 

On Tuesday, May 27, the New York chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-NY), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, along with the Bangladeshi American Advocacy Group (BAAG), will hold Muslim Legislative Advocacy Day at the State Capitol. 

As part of the programming, CAIR-NY and BAAG will host a joint press conference addressing key topics that affect the Muslim community. Topics will include, but are not limited to, protecting the freedom of speech on college and university campuses, equal financial access for the Muslim community, and religious recognition and accommodations for Eid. 

Advocacy day partners will hold a joint press conference discussing the legislative agenda on the same day.
