CAIR: Elderly Sikh man beaten nearly to death with a golf club in L.A. But was it a hate crime? – Los Angeles Times

The Los Angeles office of the Council on American-Islamic Relations issued a Tuesday statement condemning the attack.

“We stand in solidarity with the Sikh community and echo their calls for justice,” said Hussam Ayloush, executive director of CAIR L.A., in a statement. “We call on the LAPD to conduct a thorough investigation into the attack as a possible hate crime.”

Nihad Awad, president of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), stated in an interview with Anadolu in February that the US did not take into account reports of human rights violations by Israel.

“Internal reports from the State Department and the White House clearly show that former US President Biden and former Secretary of State Antony Blinken covered up and rejected these reports,” he said.​​​​​​​
