The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today endorsed a discharge petition to force a vote to release the Jeffrey Epstein files on the House floor.
In a statement, CAIR Government Affairs Director Robert McCaw said:
“The American people have a right to know the truth about Jeffrey Epstein, including whether he blackmailed any of our political leaders and whether he did so for the benefit of the Israeli government. Given Mr. Epstein’s inexplicable ability to commit his crimes in plain sight for years, given that the federal prosecutor who gave him a sweetheart deal for abusing children indicated that Epstein was an asset of an intelligence agency, and given Epstein’s support for the Israeli military and relationships with pro-Israel figures, we must know once and for all whether any of our past or present government officials are beholden to the Israeli government or any other foreign entity.”
