The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today announced that it plans to feature Cenk Uygur, founder and host of The Young Turks as a speaker at its upcoming leadership and policy conference.
The event, which is open to registered and vetted members of the public, is scheduled to feature educational panels, strategic discussions and workshops on activism, advocacy, and political engagement.
Scheduled speakers include attorneys for students targeted by the government and other civil rights lawyers, scholars, human rights and political activists, organizational directors, and student leaders who plan to address issues related free speech, civic engagement, immigrant rights, media strategy, and human rights.
