The Connecticut chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-CT) today condemned a racist vandalism at a Catholic school in West Hartford.
West Hartford police are investigating after racist graffiti was found at Northwest Catholic High School on Sunday. According to police, the damage was primarily to the track and soccer nets. The damage included a racial slur on the ground in the dirt and a racial slur spray-painted on the property.

“We are deeply disturbed by this act of racist vandalism targeting Northwest Catholic High School,” said Farhan Memon Chairman, CAIR-Connecticut. “Hate has no place in our schools, our communities, or anywhere in our state.”
He said Washington, D.C., based CAIR and the American Muslim community stand in solidarity with all those challenging antisemitism, systemic anti-Black racism, xenophobia, Islamophobia, white supremacy, and all other forms of bigotry.
