The Houston chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-Houston), alongside Texas State Representative Ron Reynolds and a broad coalition of community partners, will hold a joint press conference on Friday, November 21st to respond to Governor Greg Abbott’s recent proclamation targeting CAIR.
The coalition will address the harmful impact of the proclamation, reaffirm the contributions of Texas Muslim communities, and outline next steps to protect civil rights, public safety, and community cohesion.
