CAIR-GA, GAMVP to Co-Host Muslim Advocacy Day at Capitol Feb. 12

On Thursday, February 12, the Georgia chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-Georgia) and Georgia Muslim Voter Project (GAMVP) plan to host Muslim Advocacy Day at the Georgia State Capitol. 

This event is designed to make advocacy accessible for Georgia Muslims and empower them to address key issues impacting Muslims in Georgia. The organizations will provide attendees with a lobbying workshop, discussing topics like voting rights, immigration and social justice. After the workshop, participants will have the opportunity to speak with their elected officials. Muslim elected officials, including Sen. Nabilah Islam Parkes, Rep. Ruwa Romman and Rep. Akbar Ali, will address attendees.
