CAIR Condemns Neo-Nazi Vandalism Targeting West Virginia Synagogue

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today condemned the reported vandalism of a West Virginia synagogue with a Nazi swastika and called for a thorough investigation and accountability for those responsible.

The incident is being investigated as a possible hate crime.

In a statement, Washington, D.C., based CAIR said:

“Targeting a house of worship with Nazi symbols is an act of intimidation that has no place in our society. We condemn this hateful act and stand in solidarity with our Jewish neighbors. Every person should be able to worship without fear of harassment, vandalism or violence.”

CAIR and the American Muslim community stand in solidarity with all those challenging antisemitism, systemic anti-Black racism, xenophobia, Islamophobia, white supremacy, and all other forms of bigotry.
