(WASHINGTON, D.C., 3/4/15) – The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today announced the opening of registration for its first Maryland Muslim Youth Leadership Symposium (#MYLS2015) to be held in Annapolis, Md., on April 8.
#MYLS2015, to be held in the Maryland state capital, is designed to familiarize participants with the Maryland General Assembly and the legislative process of how a bill is introduced and passed into law. It will also include a tour of state buildings, and involve dynamic speakers who will aim to inspire youth with their knowledge and experiences.

CAIR has been organizing Muslim Youth Leadership Programs in states across the country for more than a decade. Participants of these programs have gone on to become respected community leaders, activists, community organizers, and youth leaders.
