The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) condemned the deadly attack as “completely unacceptable” and said that political violence “only undermines the pursuit of justice”.

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), a Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, put out a statement condemning the shooting:

“While millions of Americans feel extreme frustration at the sight of the Israeli government slaughtering Palestinian men, women and children on a daily basis with weapons paid for with our taxpayer dollars, political violence is an unacceptable crime and is not the answer.”

Fine, who is Jewish, was elected to Congress just last month after eight years in the Florida House and a brief stint in the state Senate. He had already been slammed by CAIR, the Council on American-Islamic Relations, for his past comments.

Earlier this month, CAIR urged Congress to publicly condemn Fine for his “violently anti-Muslim, anti-American, and anti-Palestinian rhetoric.”

Fine has previously come under fire for his comments about the war, which the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) described as “violently anti-Muslim, anti-American, and anti-Palestinian.” In one, he referred to a fellow member of Congress as a “Muslim terrorist” and responded to reports of children starving in Gaza with the hashtag: “#StarveAway”.
