CAIR: Sen. Tuberville’s anti-Sharia bills are “bigotry” and “unconstitutional,” CAIR says – Alabama Political Reporter
The Council of American-Islamic Relations’ national deputy director, Edward Mitchell, later described Tuberville’s Oct. 8 speech as spreading “dangerous hatred against American Muslims and utter ignorance about Islam” in a public statement.
“Anti-Muslim bigotry is sadly not that surprising and it’s widely tolerated in politics,” Mitchell noted during an interview with APR on Sunday night. “But I thought that going on The Alex Jones Show would be a step too far for a United States Senator and for the Alabama political leadership.”

During work on his latest mural, Al Ghussein was visited by Josh Paul and Tariq Habash, former Biden Administration officials who resigned in protest of U.S. policy toward Israel. They later co-founded A New Policy, a Washington, D.C.-based PAC advocating for a foreign policy rooted in human rights and American interests. Last year, Al Ghussein was with Habash—also a Cincinnati native—when Habash was awarded the “Spirit of Courage” honor at a CAIR Ohio banquet for his public resignation from the Biden Administration.
CAIR-Philadelphia: Remove Philly’s Voting Language Barriers – The Philadelphia Citizen
At the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) Philadelphia, we serve Muslim American community members, many of whom speak languages not included in the 1965 federal Voting Rights Act. For example, in Pennsylvania, there are at least 35,000 Arabic speakers, at least 10,000 of whom live in Philadelphia. From our work within the region, we also know there are sizable West African communities in Southwest and West Philly, and Arab American communities in Northeast and South Philadelphia.
It is not fitting for our city to rely on internet-based translations of critical information like voting materials, either. However much they may have improved, Google translate and similar services are not always accurate in conveying critical information about elections. We assisted a voter who needed an actual human to convey the difference between mail-in-ballots and absentee ballots last year, a concept that can be confusing even for native speakers.

CAIR: Israel accused of trying to “restart the genocide” – TAG24
The Council on American-Islamic Relations has accused Israel of looking for an “excuse” to “restart the genocide” in Gaza.
“Since the start of the ceasefire, the Netanyahu regime has been itching to fully restart the genocide in Gaza. Now it’s using whatever incident took place in Israeli-occupied Rafah, which local journalists report was an Israeli demolition crew injuring itself on unexploded ordinance, as an excuse to do so,” CAIR said in a statement.
“The cruel and unnecessary mass bombing of civilians across Gaza constitutes a blatant violation of President Trump’s ceasefire agreement and a resumption of the genocide. President Trump must rein in the Israeli occupation forces and stop sending American weapons and American taxpayer dollars to fund Israel’s war machine.”
