The assailant allegedly shouted antisemitic slurs, attempted to punch the victim, and fled while continuing to yell. No injuries were reported, and the case remains under investigation. The New York chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations condemned the attack and called for accountability.

“No one should be subjected to intimidation or violence simply for existing,” said CAIR-NY Executive Director Afaf Nasher, urging stronger measures to address rising hate violence across New York communities.
