CAIR National Board Members

Mr. Al-Shehab has been involved in community work for over 20 years. He Co-founded CAIR-NJ in 2003 and then was elected to the CAIR National Board in 2011. He served as the CAIR National Board Treasurer from 2012 – 2022. In 2023, CAIR National Board appointed Mr. Al-Shehab as its founding Emeritus Board Member.

From 2019-2023, Mr. Al-Shehab served as the Treasurer for Action Together New Jersey, c3 and c4 organizations. ATNJ has established itself as the leader in the largest expansion of vote by mail in NJ history, with key legislative wins including the Ballot Cure Act, the Secure Ballot Box Act and the Track My Ballot user portal, helping increase access and transparency for voters who use vote by mail.

In Spring of 2018, Mr. Al-Shehab help in the purchase of Fusion Muslim Community Center. Mr. Al-Shehab was appointed on the Board of Fusion in Fall of 2018 and later took on the roll of the Chairman of the Board. Mr. Al-Shehab has been running the organization since 2019 as the chairman, alongside a very accomplished and talented board members.

In his professional life, Mr. Al-Shehab has been running his Management Consulting Business since 2006. Mr. Al-Shehab’s firm specializes in Crisis and Risk Management for Pharmaceuticals. Mr. Al-Shehab holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from NJIT and a graduate in Accounting and Finance from Columbia University and a certificate in Artificial Intelligence in Pharma and Biotech at MIT Sloan School of Management. Mr. Al-Shehab has spoken at several conferences on the topic of AI and Drug Discovery. Mr. Al-Shehab is married with three kids.
