5/1: CAIR Network to Host ‘Celebrating Resilience’ Ramadan Event Featuring Nationwide Chapters, Guest Remarks by British and French Muslim Leaders

In addition to remarks from local and national CAIR leaders, speakers include British and French Muslims who will discuss the importance of resilience amid COVID-19 pandemic and global anti-Muslim bigotry

(WASHINGTON, DC – 4/30/2021) — On Saturday, May 1, at 4 pm ET, the national office and local chapters of the Council on American Islamic-Relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, plan to host a special “Uniting in Ramadan” event to celebrate the resilience the Muslim community has shown while meeting the challenges of COVID-19, racism and global Islamophobia.

WHEN: Saturday, May 1st, at 4 p.m. ET   

The event will feature remarks from representatives of CAIR chapters across the country, as well as recorded addresses by leaders of the British and French Muslim communities, which have faced similar and sometimes even more dangerous challenges over the past year.   

CAIR’s mission is to enhance understanding of Islam, protect civil rights, promote justice, and empower American Muslims.
