Muslims are being urged to get out the vote in state and local elections taking place in AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, IA, ID, KA, KY, MA, MD, ME, MI, MN, MO, MS, MT, NC, NH, NJ, NM, NY, OH, PA, RI, SC, TX, UT, VA, WA, WI, & WY
(WASHINGTON, D.C., 11/2/21) – The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, is reminding all eligible American Muslim voters who have not yet participated in local and statewide elections scheduled to take place in more than 30 states today, November 2, to check-out whether there is an election they can vote in and make sure to turn out and vote.
In addition to their being multiple local, district and county election races taking place across the country, CAIR is tracking seven statewide general elections and one ballot measure election in the following states:
- Colorado statewide general election
- Maine statewide general election
- New Jersey statewide general election
- Ohio statewide ballot measure election
- Pennsylvania statewide general election
- Texas statewide general election
- Virginia statewide general election
- Washington statewide general election

“CAIR is urging American Muslims in local districts and states holding elections tomorrow to stand up for what matters most to them, their family, their community, and vote for the candidate or ballot measure that best represents them,” said CAIR Director of Government Affairs Robert S. McCaw. “All eyes are on the results of today’s elections to get a better sense of how Americans will vote in next year’s midterm elections. Every election is a critical opportunity for the American Muslim community to demonstrate its growing political capacity and strength.”
