Action Alert: Go Online Saturday, Dec. 19 for CAIR’s Annual Gala, ‘American Muslim of the Year,” Community Service Award Presentations

(WASHINGTON, D.C., 12/18/2020) – Go online Saturday, December 19 (6 – 8 p.m. ET) to watch CAIR’s virtual 26th annual gala, “Meet the Moment: Heal Our Nation, Champion Justice” featuring inspiring community leaders Linda Sarsour, Imam Zaid Shakir and Dr. Altaf Husain, and special video messages from Reps. Andre Carson (D-IN) and Rashida Tlaib (D-MI).     

CAIR’s gala will also feature presentation of the annual “American Muslim of the Year” award to an American Muslim individual, organization or coalition that has demonstrated “exemplary service to the country and the community” at the local or national level over the last year by “inspiring and empowering.”

CAIR will also present its “Community Service Award” to representatives of the thousands of Muslim medical and health care professionals who have shown such dedication during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
