(WASHINGTON D.C., 11/24/2021) – The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) today welcomed guilty verdicts in the Ahmaud Arbery murder trial.
On Wednesday, a jury found Gregory McMichael, Travis McMichael and William Bryan Jr. guilty of malice and felony murder in the death of Ahmaud Arbery last year. The sentencing date for the men is unclear. Prosecutors have indicated they intend to seek life sentences without the possibility of parole.

CAIR tweeted: “We welcome the guilty verdicts in the #AhmaudArbery trial, and we commend the Arbery family for the perseverance they have shown since his murder. May Allah grant justice to the many other victims of racist crimes whose killers never faced trial.”
