CAIR Attorney Joins Interfaith SCOTUS Vigil for Asylum Rights

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today joined an interfaith vigil at the US. Supreme Court as it is hearing arguments in Noem v. Al Otro Lado, a case focusing on the legality of a border policy blocking access to the U.S. asylum process.

Vigil participants say the policy, under which immigration officers physically blocked people seeking safety at official border crossings from setting foot onto U.S. soil, flouts federal immigration law.
