The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today said a report by Physicians for Human Rights (PHR) detailing the impact of Israel’s war on Gaza on women’s reproductive health an example of demographic warfare.
A report from Physicians for Human Rights (PHR), a US charity, and the Global Human Rights Clinic at the University of Chicago Law School (GHRC), documents widespread malnutrition, the destruction of maternal and neonatal health services, and restrictions on food and medical supplies that clinicians say have devastated women’s ability to safely conceive, carry, and give birth to children.

At least 100 children have been killed in Gaza since the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas in early October, said UNICEF spokesperson James Elder.

In a statement, CAIR said:
“This report by Physicians for Human Rights highlights one of the ways in which the genocidal Israeli government is pursuing its goal of extirpating the Palestinian people – demographic warfare. Attacking and destroying essential women’s reproductive health infrastructure has no other purpose than genocide.”
