The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest Muslim civils rights and advocacy organization, today called on educational institutions in the United States and worldwide to speak out against the Gaza genocide after UNICEF reported that Israeli forces slaughter a “classroom” of children every day.
In a tweet, UNICEF reported that Israeli forces kill 28 children, roughly the size of an average classroom, every day.

The UN World Food Program has also warned that all children of Gaza under the age of 5 are at risk of life-threatening malnourishment, as reports of starvation-related deaths due to Israel’s blockade rise.

In a statement, CAIR National Executive Director Nihad Awad said:
“Every day, Israel slaughters the equivalent of an entire classroom of children in Gaza. Educational institutions and educators in our nation and worldwide must wake up to this reality and speak out against Israel’s genocide. These are not just numbers, these are children with hopes and dreams who are being brutally murdered by a rogue terror state that is funded with American tax dollars and enabled by our government. The slaughter and intentional starvation of children must stop.”
