CAIR Calls on Trump to Withdraw Support for Israel’s Annihilation of Gaza City as Another Child Starves to Death, Dozens Killed

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today called on President Trump to withdraw his support for the Israeli government’s ongoing efforts to annihilate Gaza City and everyone who is unable or unwilling to leave as another child starved to death and dozens, including children, were massacred in Israeli bombardments.

Two more people, including a child, died of forced starvation while dozens were killed today alone in indiscriminate bombings across Gaa.

Those latest deaths bring the total number of forced starvation-related deaths in Gaza to 457, including 152 children. A newborn baby also died in Gaza City’s Al Helou International Hospital while being evacuated from the facility because of Israel’s attacks.

The deaths come as UNICEF spokesperson James Elder said:

“Gaza City remains home to tens of thousands of children. Shoeless children push grandparents in wheelchairs around rubble. Amputee children struggle through the dust. Mothers carry children whose skin is bleeding from rashes. Children shudder at the relentless airstrikes. And children gaze skyward tracking the fire from helicopters and quadcopters.

“The question I am asked everywhere in Gaza City – from women, from the elderly, and from children – is: ‘Where can I go that will be safe’?

“And the answer remains the same after almost two years: Nowhere.”

Yesterday, the World Health Organization (WHO) said that almost 42,000 people in Gaza are living with life-changing injuries from Israel’s genocide, including more than 10,000 children.

In a statement, Washington, D.C., based CAIR said:

“The forced starvation of women, children and the sick and elderly, and the slaughter of entire families cannot be allowed to continue while the world watches and the Trump administration greenlights this carnage.

“President Trump must stop letting Netanyahu run wild in Gaza and torpedo ceasefire deals with poison pill demands meant to prolong the genocide and keep him in power.

“Every day that passes without a change in U.S. policy is another day children are buried for being born in Gaza.”
